We planned a couple days in London on our way to Southhampton to board our cruise ship to the Norwegian Fjords. I didn’t expect to love the city as much as I did. The ease of the Underground made navigating around the boroughs so much fun. Which thankfully was a good thing as I made a train just as the door shut on my husband standing on the platform. ;-) I have to say two days was not enough and I look forward to returning.
Architecture, history, food, and much much more await the traveler. From pubs to small eateries to the small authentic Italian restaurant on a back alley offered so many options to fuel the miles we traversed.
Travel ~ Norway
This trip has been on my bucket list for many years. I wanted to visit the country my grandmother, Hulda Siqveland Gallentine, had lived. She resided in Stavanger, Norway and is one of the thousands who immigrated to the United States as a young girl with her family in the mid 1900’s.
We visited Bergen, Geiranger, Alesund, Skjolden, and Stavanger. It was my intent to capture the history and communicate the story of each unique and truly beautiful city along the Norwegian Fjords. We left recalling a region of amazing scenery, incredible architecture, friendly people, and a connection to my heritage.
